According to the Denver Post, Denver has the possibility to become the first city in the nation to decriminalize psychedelic mushrooms. Initiative 301 has barely and unofficially passed with just 50.6 percent of the vote, a margin of just 1,979 votes. Some ballots are still coming in by mail, and results will be certified on May 16. 

With this new law, magic mushrooms will still be illegal to buy or possess, but the crime will no longer be a felony. Both Oregon and California are planning to get measures on the ballot in 2020.
